Point-In-Time
Every January, Point-in-Time (PIT) Count volunteers and service providers hit the main streets and back roads of south central Appalachia to find and count homeless adults and children over an area spanning 400 miles. The efforts of our PIT Count volunteers are essential for tracking homelessness in rural communities, where it may be less visible than in urban areas.
